Silver Dollar City -
Theme Park Fun & Amusement!
Rides, Shows & Attractions Galore
Branson,
Missouri is proud to be the home of Silver Dollar City, one of the World's Top
Theme Parks. People of all ages ask whether or not Silver Dollar City would
be a fun activity for them on their Branson vacation. "YES!" From toddlers to
great Grandpas and Grandmas, Silver Dollar City provides non-stop days and of
fun for the entire family, Silver Dollar City offers activities for everyone in
the family to enjoy. Tucked
into the hillsides at Silver Dollar City are adventures
beyond your imagination!
From
March through December, the internationally-awarded 1880s-style theme park shows
why it is the Home of American Craftsmanship, featuring the fine artistry
of 100 demonstrating craftsmen including glassblowers, basket weavers, potters,
blacksmiths, knife smiths, quilters and many more resident demonstrating
craftsmen, along with music and entertainment,
two dozen themed rides, and foods from festival
specialties to home-cooked feasts.
Silver
Dollar City is rustic and charming, built on the natural terrain of the Ozark
Mountains. Take a turn on over 30 fun-filled
rides and
attractions
for children of all ages. Whether riding the rails of the
Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train,
launching to 53 mph in 2.8 seconds on
PowderKeg, or exploring
the
grounds of The Grand Exposition,
Silver Dollar City is your family's favorite place to play! Don't miss the
Giant Swing whose two colossal
arms take riders 75
feet high in opposite directions and through the barn roof, arcing almost 230
degrees so the riders are nearly upside down - a full-throttle high-flying
thrill ride. The Giant Swing is set within the
Great Barn area of the park along with
High-Low Silos,
interactive climbing towers where riders use rope-pulls to propel themselves
over 30 feet in the air.
Surround yourself with the sounds of each season. Silver
Dollar City has over 40 Live Shows Daily so there's
live entertainment around every corner. You'll find toe tapping harmonies,
hilarious comedy and traditional favorites! Six
World Class Festivals with
special happenings, shows and events throughout the year means there are at
least six times you need to return to Silver Dollar City!
An
Old Time Christmas is ranked as one of the world's top holiday events by
CNN.com, and one of the nation's top 10 by USA Today, America's Best and Southern
Living. The festival includes the Holiday Light Parade, the popular show, A
Dickens' Christmas Carol, the Five-Story Special Effects Christmas Tree and over
4 million holiday lights. What better way to celebrate this special season than
with the songs, sights and lights of Silver Dollar City!
To top it all off - the craftsmen of the kitchen treat you to fabulous
food in a dozen delightful restaurants plus snacks galore throughout the
park to ensure that no one goes hungry with a temptation for everyone.
Silver Dollar City is handicap accessible. Wheelchairs and Electric
Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) are available for rent. A limited number of
reservations are taken by calling 417-338-8037 (Silver Dollar City) during
operating hours.
